eSUP lesson locations
To give you the best eFoil experience from your very first session, Flying Fish is partnering with watersports centres around Europe to offer eFoil lessons. In the Netherlands we have several locations Nieuwe Meer, Ijburg, Groningen etc.
At first I was a bit skeptical, because how would I be able to stand on a sup for 1,5 hour. I was completely wrong. It’s really easy and you get to see A LOT of the city:) The coolest thing about it is that you get to see the city from a complete different perspective!
Insane experience! I’ve been in Amsterdam a few times before and also did a few boat tours. Those were cool but this beats everything. Supping through the canals of Amsterdam was the best thing I did in this beautiful city!
Thanks Titus! I had a great time. Such a unique experience. Can’t even imagine how much my son would like to do this. I think I’ll come back here after a while. Maybe with my whole family;) Highly recommended and great guys there at Flying Fish! Thanks!

FAQ
Is supping dangerous?
We know from experience that supping is not dangerous. It can be a bit tricky with other boats etc in the canals. That’s why it really importent that you stay alert and listen closely to the instructor.
Don’t worry. Our instructors/tour guides are all locals and know their way around the canals. They’ll make sure the group will stay together and gets back to the starting point safely!
What about Corona?
On the dock and within the facilities of our schools, the rules are of course followed.
Once on the water it is necessary to keep a safe distance. As a result there is almost no danger of infecting each other during the lesson.
Corona is no obstacle for eFoiling and our schools are running at full speed.
Maybe it’s just nice to get away from it all!?
Up to what age is supping possible?
As long as your able to swim at a decent level, everyone is able to sup. We recommend that little kids up to 10 years old share a sup with an adult!
How many people can participate in an sup tour at one time?
At Flying Fish safety and fun are very important. To guarantee safety and to give everyone the same amount of time on the water we use a maximum of 6 people for the regular lessons. That way everyone in the group will experience the tour the best way possible.
Larger groups are certainly possible, but then on request! See our site for more information.
How long does a sup tour last?
A sup tour lasts one and a half hour. This includes the total of 10 minutes of explanation, planning out the route. This is why we ask our suppers to be on time, so you can enjoy your sup tour to the fullest!

Momentarely only at Keizersgracht 520. We hope to be opening other sup rental and tour locations throughout the Netherlands in the future!
Will a sup tour continue if the weather is bad?
The experience of supping through the canals of Amstersterdam depends a lot on the weather. We’ll let you know in advance what the weather will be the next day and if we want to continue with the tour.
There are always options to re-schedule if you’re unable to come. Please let us know 24hrs in advance so that we have enough time to re-schedule.

Of course, things can always happen. So up to 48 hours in advance you can cancel for free. After that, we will charge you for half the price.

It obviously depends on the weather. If you’d like you can rent a wetsuit for only 5,-! If the temperature is pleasant swim trousers will be fine!
Am I insured through you?
We will ask you to sign a waiver during the booking process. This is to make you aware of the potential dangers and that you are agreeing to participate in the tour yourself.
In addition to this personal responsibility, as a school we are properly insured for third party damage and injury.
Who do I get tours from?
With our experience in eFoiling, supping and other surf sports you don’t have to worry about the quality and safety of the sup tours! Our tour guides are all locals and will take good care of you.
Can i choose my own route?
Yes you can. You can choose between a few routes that we’ve made. Every route goes through Amsterdam, but every route is different. Make your choice based on the things you want to see most!
There always room to combine different routes, as long as you discuss this with the tour guide!
Can is also eFoil at your location at keizersgracht?
Unfortunately it’s not possible to foil through the canals. Within the city centre there’s a speed limit in the canals. This rule exists to make the canals a safer place and for the people living in the houseboats.
But, don’t be sad. You can eFoil as fast as you can at our location at Nieuwe Meeer, Amsterdam!
